We will continue towards island Lopud visiting the southern side of the island for swimming and snorkeling on the most famous sandy beach in southern Dalmatia named Shunj. Sometime later we will visit the northern side of the island where you can maybe have lunch at one of the local taverns with an authentic Dalmatian ambiance or just explore the church of St. Mary and Franciscan monastery dating from the 15th century.
Best day of our trip
We booked a full day private cruise with Dubrovnik Boat Rent to go to the Lokrum and Elafiti Islands. We had Ivan as our captain, and he was fantastic. He knew exactly where to take us, which included gorgeous coves to swim in, caves to snorkel into, and a great little island for lunch – Lopud. The boat was clean, stocked with drinks and even had a Gopro for us to use.
We met Ivan near the Old town docks, where he picked us up at 10 am, and they had a taxi ready to take us back to our place after the day was over.
I can’t recommend Dubrovnik Boat Rent and Ivan highly enough. Especially since the poor guy had to haul me up the ladder when I returned to the boat after swimming. Highly recommend!
